Jolie Weber, Wise Foods, accepts the gavel and the position of chairman of the board for Snac International from outgoing chairman Dan Sifer, Herr Foods.
ATLANTA — Snac International installed new officers to its board of directors and a new chairwoman of the board at SNAXPO18 in Atlanta, which was held March 12-14.
As the outgoing chairman of the board, Dan Sifer, senior vice-president supply chain and contract manufacturing, Herr Foods, passed the gavel to incoming chairwoman Jolie Weber, chief executive officer, Wise Foods.
“This is truly an honor and a privilege,” Ms. Weber said. “I certainly have some big shoes to fill.”
She added that she looks forward to working with Snac International and its many members to continue to build the association.
The 2018-19 board of directors now includes Mike Harper, Rudolph Foods, treasurer; Mr. Sifer, past chairman; Mark Winkelman, Better Made Snack Foods, past chairman; Fritz Kohmann, Shearer’s Snacks, first vice chair; Bill Hooker, Snyder’s-Lance, second vice chair; Leanne Oliver, Frito-Lay, secretary; and Charlie Kennedy, Packaging Corporation of America, AEC president.
Mr. Sifer thanked Snac International for the opportunity to serve as chairman in 2017 and said the association accomplished many goals, including expanded educational opportunities for members at the Executive Leadership Forum and SNAXPO.
“Our mission was to have attendees leave with greater insight and information,” Mr. Sifer said. “I’m proud of the working relationship I developed with the Snac International team. It was truly a pleasure.”
