WASHINGTON — Sonali P. Gunawardhana has joined the life science team of Shook, Hardy and Bacon, a law firm specializing in health, science and technology.
Ms. Gunawardhana will counsel food and beverage, drug and device and dietary supplement companies on regulatory matters from Shook’s Washington office.

Ms. Gunawardhana joined Shook from Wiley Rein L.L.P., where she helped food and beverage companies as well as pharmaceutical and medical device businesses seeking to resolve Food and Drug Administration challenges.
A graduate of the University of New Hampshire School of Law with a focus on health law, Ms. Gunawardhana holds a master's of law degree from American University College of Law and a Certificate in Business Administration from Georgetown University. She also holds a master’s degree in public health from Boston University, a graduate degree from Webster University and an undergraduate degree from Syracuse University.
