A clinical study by Glycemic Index Laboratories revealed the sustained energy effects of Ingredion’s SUSTRA 2434 slowly digestible carbohydrate. Published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Nutrients, the study suggested steadily available energy. After monitoring the participants’ blood glucose response, researchers found that food formulated with SUSTRA 2434 were associated with a lower response in the first 60 to 90 minutes following consumption and a higher response at two or more hours.
