SCOTTS VALLEY, CALIF. — Continuing its mission to deliver wholesome snack options to consumers, RW Garcia will roll out a line of organic corn chips.
Available in four varieties — Bar-B-Q, chili cheese, yellow corn and blue corn — the snack is made with non-GMO Project verified and U.S.D.A.-certified organic ingredients. The chips are free-from gluten, preservatives and contain low or no added sugar. Each 8.25-oz bag has a suggested retail price of $4.49.
The family-owned business created the product with clean label consumers in mind and gave it the salty taste and crunchy texture they crave without the undesirable ingredients.
“Corn chips are a snacking staple in our family, whether on their own or used in recipes,” said Genelle Chetcuti, vice-president of marketing, RW Garcia, and daughter of the company’s co-founders. “We are delighted to share this better-for-you alternative with people like us who crave a delicious corn chip snack made with simple, organic ingredients.”
The snack will make its debut in June at Harris Teeter grocery stores as part of its Home Town program, which promotes food products that are produced locally. The line will then be available nationally in July.
