NEW YORK — John Galloway has been named chief marketing and innovation officer for Godiva Chocolatier, effective Oct. 22. In this role, he will be tasked with leading Godiva’s global marketing and innovation team and will join the company’s global executive committee.
For the past eight years, Mr. Galloway has been chief marketing officer for Hard Rock International, operator of Hard Rock Café, Hard Rock Hotel and Hard Rock Casino. Before that, he spent 13 years with PepsiCo, Inc. in various leadership roles, including vice-president of marketing for the Gatorade brand, vice-president and general manager of the IZZE Beverage business, vice-president of sports and media, director of sports marketing, director of flavors and senior manager of the Mountain Dew brand. Mr. Galloway began his career with marketing agencies, including Young & Rubicam and TracyLocke.

Mr. Galloway is the third executive to join Godiva in the last four months. In July, the company named Virginie Costa as chief financial officer, and in June, Godiva appointed Phil Crawford as chief technology officer.
