MINNEAPOLIS — Cargill’s food ingredients and applications business has chosen six North American distribution partners.
Univar will distribute a range of products, including starches, specialty sweeteners, texturizers, cocoa and chocolate, and edible vegetable fats and oils. Gillco will continue to focus on organic, label-friendly and specialty product lines. International Food Products will continue to offer Cargill ingredients suited for the dairy segment. Batory Foods, Pearson Sales Co. and St. Charles Trading Co. will remain as U.S. distributors for legacy Cargill food ingredients portfolios.
“These six partners will be powerful contributors to our business, bringing improvements to our North American supply chain, e-commerce, technical service expertise and other components critical to our customers’ success,” said Pat Rogers, commercial leader in Cargill’s North America food ingredients business. “By consolidating our regional distribution channels, our customers will be able to benefit from the unique strengths these distributors bring to the table.”
Cargill will continue to support other distributors for channels such as food service, retail and confectionery chocolate.
