MINNEAPOLIS — Hansen-Mueller Co., an Omaha, Neb.-based company, purchased a commercial elevator in Minneapolis.
With access to rail and truck routes the 1.4-million-bu facility is located at 648 24th Ave. SE.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to open our 20th location and have it be located in the Twin Cities,” said Stacie Jensen, director of human resources at Hansen-Mueller. “Minneapolis is part of our strategic trading platform. The Midwestern family-oriented work ethic can’t be replicated.”
Hansen-Mueller, a family owned business for the past 40 years, owns or operates 20 facilities throughout 10 states, including 3 port locations, and 5 feed mills, in addition to its grain storage facilities. The Minneapolis elevator is positioned in the midst of Hansen-Mueller’s footprint.
The latest acquisition follows the company’s purchase of more than 10 facilities in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota in the past three years.
“We’re creators of opportunity and work hard to stay ahead of the game” Ms. Jensen said.
Hansen-Mueller plans to start accepting grain at the Minneapolis location beginning Feb. 1.
Hansen-Mueller provides grain merchandising and logistics, commodity trading and feed processing products to customers across the Midwest.
