FOSTORIA, OHIO — Michael MaGinn has been named director of operations for the grain division of The Mennel Milling Co. In his new role, Mr. MaGinn will be responsible for the operational oversight of the company’s grain handling and processing assets and functions.
With a primary focus of providing global management of Mennel’s 13 grain facilities as well as training for approximately 70 grain employees, Mr. MaGinn will lead the grain team through shifting trends and facilitate the implementation of innovative efforts to achieve excellence in the grain industry.

Mr. MaGinn has more than 25 years of experience in the agriculture industry and has worked in all aspects of grain production, including logistics, receiving, shipping, conditioning and storing of commodities. He most recently was vice-president of grain operations at Heritage Cooperative, and earlier he was branch manager for Heritage on the Kenton Agricultural Campus.

With over 130 years of experience in the flour milling industry, Mennel Milling has grown to include other business ventures, including over 30 sites in 6 states. Today, Mennel consists of 6 flour mills, 13 country grain elevators, 3 trucking divisions, 2 bakery mix facilities and a popcorn plant.
