MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Lonza has launched Oceanix, a performance nutrition brand, in the United States and Canada. The phytoplankton ingredient sourced from the ocean contains antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase. It also contains essential fatty acids, vitamins, amino acids and minerals.

Produced using patent-pended technology, Oceanix is suitable for use in a variety of sports nutrition applications, including dietary supplements, bars, drinks and powders. The Oceanix ingredient offers potential benefits for physical performance and an increased physiological response against oxidative stress to aid recovery, according to Lonza, which is based in Switzerland and has a U.S. office in Morristown.
