The Scaling Station with Production Recipe Ingredient Management Software (PRIMS) from Focus Works was designed for medium to large wholesale bakeries and food producers. It eliminates scaling errors and provides HACCP and food safety compliance in addition to accurate product tracking.

Robert White, president and director of product development, Focus Works, said the solution was designed to be an affordable computerized scale that limits waste in production and increases batch accuracy. “As part of the PRIMS Software system, it eliminates paper on the plant floor and assures recipe specification compliance,” Mr. White said.

The scale has options for a barcode scanner and printer and temperature probe. It works on wireless or wired Ethernet with a flat $5,000 package price. It also has the option to expand into a multi-station PRIMS System. The PRIMS system offers various benefits, including a Mobile App that allows users to check production data remotely and in real-time.
