CHATTANOOGA, TENN. — Nick Weigel has joined Grain Craft as vice-president of quality, regulatory and technical services.
In his new role, Mr. Weigel will supervise the company’s quality programs to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and new legislation. In addition, he will enhance product development and quality assurance efforts while also leading the company’s technical services team.
Mr. Weigel will report to Pete Frederick, president of Grain Craft, and be part of the executive leadership team.
“Mr. Weigel brings over 25 years of experience to Grain Craft,” Mr. Frederick said. “His expertise will provide Grain Craft’s customers with technical guidance, and his knowledge of quality systems will allow us to continue building upon our core values of excellence and safe people and products.”
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Weigel had progressive responsibilities with a major agribusiness company and previously worked at two large wholesale baking operations. He has participated in a variety of organizations including the North American Millers' Association, AACC International, Wheat Quality Council, AIB International and the Kansas Wheat Research Foundation.
