LONGMONT, COLO. — The J.M. Smucker Company unveiled its new, 430,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located in Longmont, Colo.
The new facility will produce Smucker’s Uncrustables frozen handheld sandwiches, doubling production currently managed solely at the company’s Scottsville, Kent., facility. It is expected to bring more than 200 jobs to Longmont, according to Colorado governor Jared Polis.
Smucker said Uncrustables is one of its fastest growing brands, reaching nearly $300 million in sales last year.
“We are excited to begin production at the new Longmont facility to meet increasing demand across the country for this beloved product,” said Mark Smucker, president and chief executive officer.
