LAS VEGAS — Roy Benin, president of category strategy and innovation at Weston Foods, has been added as a panelist for the NextGenBaker Global Leadership Forum at the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) in Las Vegas. Mr. Benin is responsible for Weston’s $2 billion North American business that spans several categories in both retail and food service.
Taking place Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. in the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Global Leadership Forum brings together a roster of top industry executives and leaders to discuss how companies are leading their employees and reworking talent development programs.
The session will open with two presentations. Robb MacKie, president and chief executive officer of the American Bakers Association, will speak about workforce issues. Then, Cyrille Filott, global strategist consumer foods, Rabobank, will discuss industry trends. These presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with Brad Alexander, chief operating officer, Flowers Foods; Carrie Jones-Barber, c.e.o., Dawn Foods; Daniel Servitje, chairman and c.e.o., Grupo Bimbo; and Mr. Benin. NextGenBaker co-chairs Brent Bradshaw, senior vice-president of core brands, Flowers Foods, and Brandon Woods, regional account manager, AMF Bakery Systems, will moderate the discussion.
