At the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE), held Sept. 7-11, AIB International will announce its new training program: the BakePro Certification. Rather than a bakery seeking out assistance for complex formulations and processing issues, AIB International will bring its training to the bakery.
With the BakePro Certification, an AIB International expert travels to the company’s location to educate team members on a specific product for five days. Working with up to three commercial bakers side-by-side, the AIB specialist teaches process control, best practices, formulation, real-time troubleshooting and more. A company can also choose training for up to three product types with an expert onsite for three consecutive weeks.
“Because the BakePro Certification is customized to the specific products, processes and facility of each individual client, the skills learned can be immediately applied,” said Katie Mayes, vice-president of marketing and product development. “Whether a client is working to perfect bread, tortillas, donuts or another baked good, our onsite expert will work alongside bakers to improve that product through better processes and product evaluation.”
Not only will the program combine classroom education through online courses and interactive development at the bakery, but it will also extend assistance six months after the training week to ensure retention and application.
“What truly sets this program apart is its customization, convenience and personal interaction with our experts,” Ms. Mayes said. “Coupled with AIB Internationals’ 100 years of industry experience, this is a program that gives you an advantage over your peers.”
