ST. LOUIS — Bernardo Hees and Sheila Bair have been appointed to the board of directors of Bunge Ltd.
Mr. Hees most recently was chief executive officer of Kraft Heinz Co. from 2015 to 2019. He earlier was c.e.o. of H.J. Heinz Holding Corp., c.e.o. of Burger King Worldwide Holdings, Inc. and c.e.o. of America Latina Logistica. He also was a partner at 3G Capital from 2010 to 2019.
Ms. Bair was chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. from 2006 to 2011, later joining the Pew Charitable Trust as a senior adviser from 2011 to 2015. She was senior adviser to international law firm DLA Piper from 2014 to 2015 and president of Washington College from 2015 to 2017. Earlier in her career, Ms. Bair was assistant secretary for financial institutions at the Department of the Treasury, senior vice-president of government relations at the New York Stock Exchange and commissioner and acting chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
