NEW YORK — Candid Holdings LLC is launching Noons, a line of whole-plant, clean label chocolate snacks made with upcycled cacao fruit, organic quinoa and fruits.
Paleo-friendly, vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO, Noons are sweetened with cacao fruit, which is typically discarded in the chocolate-making process. Candid works directly with small-holder farmers in Latin America to responsibly source ingredients and support regenerative agroforestry, the company said.
Noons contain no artificial sweeteners or added sugars and come in four varieties: pineapple and coconut, mango and cinnamon, banana and nibs, and golden berry turmeric and mango.
The pineapple and coconut Noons are made with cacao, pineapple, cocoa butter, cacao pulp, quinoa, coconut and sea salt. Each 15-piece serving contains 189 calories and 6 grams of sugar.
The mango and cinnamon flavor features cacao, mango, cocoa butter, cacao pulp, quinoa, cinnamon and sea salt. Each 15-piece serving contains 174 calories and 7 grams of sugar.
The banana and nibs variety is made with cacao, banana, coconut butter, cacao pulp, quinoa, cacao nibs and sea salt. Each 15-piece serving contains 180 calories and 3 grams of sugar.
The golden berry turmeric and mango snack features cacao, mango, cocoa butter, cacao pulp, golden berry, quinoa, coconut, turmeric and sea salt. Each 15-piece serving contains 180 calories and 6 grams of sugar.
