The Kellogg Co. and Nickelodeon are partnering to launch Apple Jacks Slime cereal in a green apple flavor. The cereal features the classic orange and green Apple Jacks cereal loops with the addition of green specks that turn milk a bright green shade, the same color as the Nickelodeon channel’s infamous slime.
Post Consumer Brands, a division of Post Holdings, is bringing back Waffle Crisp cereal. The cereal, which features the flavor of syrup and crunch of waffles, was introduced in 1996 before being discontinued in 2018.
The cereal will return to shelves in a refreshed boxed packaging. Waffle Crisp will be available in 11.5-oz and 20-oz boxes at the suggested retail prices of $4.49 and $5.49, respectively.
United Kingdom-based breakfast brand Crispy Fantasy debuted its first cereal online.
Crispy Fantasy, which is backed by the founders of Halo Top and RXBAR, launched a chocolate cereal, formulated with agave syrup, unsweetened cacao powder, soy and pea protein, and avocado oil. A serving has four times more protein and half the sugar than leading cereals, according to the company. The brand has also added honey and cinnamon flavors to its portfolio.
The Quaker Oats Co., a division of PepsiCo, Inc., debuted the newest addition to its Cap’n Crunch line.
The Cap’n Crunch Strong Berry flavor comes in a box featuring either Supergirl or Superman. The cereals have berry flavored pieces in red, yellow and blue shield shapes, made to replicate the emblems on the superheroes’ chests.
Guud is adding flavors of muesli cereal to its new “Fuel” line of products, which are formulated to support an active lifestyle, gut health and brain health, according to the company.
The company’s Fuel muesli cereal line is made with whole grains, nuts, fruits and seeds. The varieties available in the line are athlete, brain and gut, and all three are vegan, plant-based and kosher.
Kellogg Co. is expanding its Kashi ready-to-eat cereal portfolio with the launch of Maple Waffle Crisp.
The cereal combines the taste of cinnamon and sweet maple syrup with the light and crispy texture of waffle-inspired shapes. Each serving of Maple Waffle Crisp contains 4 grams of fiber and 22 grams of whole grains. The cereal also features chickpeas.
General Mills expanded its Cinnamon Toast Crunch line once again with the addition of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Rolls cereal.
Instead of the classic square shape, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Rolls come in a cinnamon bun shape.
The Quaker Oats Co. released puffed granola cereal, which is available in apple cinnamon and blueberry flavors. Both flavors feature a granola blend with oat flakes, crispy brown rice puffs and dried fruit pieces.
