BOSTON — Seafood producer Slade Gorton and Co. and Framingham, Mass.-based Elevation Brands, a maker of allergy-friendly foods, are partnering to produce gluten-, dairy- and soy-free seafood for food service.
No major players in the market currently offer such products, according to the companies.
“This partnership is a natural fit,” said Chuck Marble, chief executive officer of Elevation Brands. “Each of us brings a proven strength to the table — ours as a manufacturer and pioneer of allergy-friendly foods consumers can trust and theirs as a trusted, long-term provider of seafood and partner to the food service world.”
Items sold under Slade Gorton’s ICYBAY seafood brand and Elevation Brands’ Ian’s line of frozen food will include gluten- and allergen-free breaded fish sticks and filets, chicken patties, french bread pizza, chicken nuggets and more for broadline distributors, food service management companies, schools and universities and national and regional restaurant chains.
