ZURICH, SWITZERLAND — Sales volume at Barry Callebaut jumped more than 8% in the nine months ended May 31 behind strategic partnerships, emerging markets and the Gourmet & Specialties Products business. The company said its growth outpaced the global chocolate market, which increased by about 2% during the period. Sales volume in the Region Americas increased 17%, and in North America sales volume was driven by the company’s corporate accounts in the industrial business and Gourmet due to a continued improvement in the food service business in the United States. Sales revenue at Barry Callebaut fell to 3,540.7 million Swiss francs ($3,673.9 million) in the nine months, down from 3,557.3 million Swiss francs in the same period a year ago.
