MADISON, WIS. — RP’s Pasta Co. is spinning off a new gluten-free pasta brand that will debut on supermarket shelves later this spring. Called Taste Republic, the brand initially will focus on gluten-free pasta varieties.

“Launching Taste Republic allows us to speak to, serve, and to innovate for our gluten-free customers in a more purposeful way,” said Peter Robertson, founder and chief creative officer of RP’s Pasta and Taste Republic. “Going forward, we intend to deliver the best tasting and performing gluten-free foods, as we have done in pasta. Taste Republic represents our commitment to the gluten-free consumer and community.”

All of Taste Republic’s products will be manufactured in a dedicated gluten-free facility located in Madison. The products will be certified gluten-free by the Gluten Free Certification Organization.

The company’s products include plantain linguini, spinach fettuccini, four-cheese tortelloni, organic chickpea linguini, lasagna sheets, organic red lentil fusilli and organic black bean penne.

RP’s Pasta and Taste Republic are owned by Tribe 9 Foods, a specialty food company that also owns Yumbutter and Ona Foods. Tribe 9 was formed in 2016 through the merger of several natural food companies.
